What we build
Website design and development
A website is usually the cheapest thing we build and the first thing anyone judges you on. The difference between one that works and one that does not is rarely how it looks. It is whether it says what you do, in the words somebody would use to look for it.
What it is
A marketing site has one job: turn somebody who has heard of you, or found you, into an enquiry. Everything on it either helps that or is in the way.
The part most sites get wrong is structure rather than design. One page describing eight services will not be found by anybody searching for one of them, and a site the owner cannot edit becomes out of date the first week something changes.
When a business needs one
- The site was built years ago and nobody can change it without paying somebody
- You do a thing that is not on the website, or is one line on a page about six things
- Search sends you almost nothing, and what it sends is people typing your name
- The site looks fine on a laptop and fights you on a phone
- Every page ends in a different call to action, or in none at all
What we can build
Capability, not a claim about work already delivered. What we have actually built and run is further down the page.
- A page for each service you sell, and for each area you actually work in
- Content you can edit yourself, without a developer and without breaking the layout
- A preview of a change before the public sees it
- Pages built to be found: titles, structure, metadata and schema that match what is visible
- Consent that is asked before anything measures anybody
- Enquiry forms that reach a person, resist bots, and file themselves where the work happens
- Performance and accessibility treated as requirements rather than as a later fix
How we approach it
Structure first, which is the part that decides whether the site is ever found. Then the writing, then the design. A beautiful page about the wrong thing is still the wrong page.
We hand over something you can run. If the only way to change a price is to email us, we have built you a liability.
See it working
A short film of one of our own demonstrations, recorded from the running software. Every company in it is invented, and the link opens the real thing.
Clarity Dental · Dental practices
Every treatment with what it costs and the process from the first call, written for people who have been putting it off.
Aurelia · Aesthetics clinics
Consultation-led treatment planning, results matched to each treatment, and the clinical standards that decide whether somebody books.
Vantor · Architecture and design studios
A portfolio given room to breathe, with proof of delivery rather than visual intent alone, and a process a client can follow to handover.
Fathom Coffee · Shops and roasters
This week's roast at the front, a basket that works, and a subscription so a good customer never has to remember to reorder.
Things we have already built
Live in software we have delivered, and part of the 123 things we have built.
Self-serve content studio
The owner keeps the site current on their own schedule, with no developer needed for everyday changes.
A page for every area you actually cover
You show up for the places you actually work, and the visitor lands on a page about their town rather than a list of thirty.
A page for each thing people actually search
The business turns up for the specific thing someone typed, and the page they land on is about that one thing.
Seeing a change before the public does
You see a change on the real site first and publish it when you are happy, not before.
A website that looks after itself overnight
A bad night fixes itself by morning, instead of leaving a broken tile on a page nobody checks.
Every page ends in the same single next step
An enquiry does not depend on somebody scrolling back to the top to look for a contact link.
Nothing is measured until the visitor agrees to it
A practice that advises on compliance is visibly compliant itself, and a visitor who says no is genuinely not tracked.
A page for every thing people actually search for
You show up for the specific thing somebody typed, and they land on a page about that thing instead of a homepage they have to decode.
Keeping the rubbish out of your enquiry form
Every enquiry that reaches a human is a real person, so none get skimmed past.
